DEATHDROME INSTALLATION SUMMARY
STEP 1: INSTALL THE GAME USING THE ALL-IN-ONE INSTALLER
IT WILL GIVE YOU AN OPTION TO INSTALL RADMIN VPN (NEEDED FOR MULTIPLAYER)
STEP 2: INSTALL RADMIN VPN AND JOIN/START SERVER
CREATE A VIRTUAL LAN WITH RADMIN VPN AND ITS GAME ON! THERE IS A PUBLIC DEATHDROME GAMING NETWORK THAT EXISTS ON RADMIN NOW!
LAUNCH THE GAME USING THE DDROME LAUNCHER ON YOUR DESKTOP! (IF YOU WANT 4:3 RATIO, JUST COPY THE 4:3 DXW INTO THE RUN FOLDER)

KNOWN BUGS: - INCOMPATIBLE WITH "NPCAP" (IF YOU HAVE NPCAP INSTALLED, IT WILL PREVENT MULTIPLAYER FROM WORKING IN DEATHDROME. UNINSTALL BOTH, THEN REINSTALL DEATHDROME)
- LAUNCHER CAN BE SEEN AS A VIRUS (JUST LET ANTIVIRUS SCAN IT, OR ADD EXCEPTION)

8/12/22 - ADDED OPTION TO SELECT 4:3, OR 16:9 RATIO (COPY THE DXW FILE FROM THE CORRESPONDING FOLDER INTO THE RUN FOLDER AND OVERWRITE)

- REMOVED THE NEED FOR DXWND (EXPORTED THE DDRAW FROM DXWND SO GUI IS NO LONGER NEEDED)
- ADJUSTED THE LOOK OF THE MENU (FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE INTERESTED IN RUNNING FROM DDROME.EXE INSTEAD OF THE QUICK-LAUNCHER)
- FIXED BLACK SCREEN ON EXIT (SLOW MOUSE POLLING CAUSED A HANG)
- FIXED TIMING/JUMPING AGAIN (CAPPED FRAMES TO GAME STANDARD TO FIX BROKEN JUMPING)

thx for the great work on packing an all-in-one installer and uploading it. Also for the tutorial on how installing DD for single and multiplayer. Woot woot  Is it possible to add 2 things? - I think the game is more stable (multi start) if Win10 users also use the compatibility mode 'WinXP SP3' and possibly 'runs as administrator' ticked for Ddrome.exe It's only possible to make it run when also DXWnd is run as administrator. EDIT: thx for the adaptation in the tutorial. Just for info, also the other compatibility modes work well for example WinXP SP1, SP2, Win ME/98 etc all make it run smooth. Maybe interesting to check out if you're testing it on Win10. - Another thing people can't forget is to click the Directplay-win64.reg file in the DDrome/RUN map for multiplayer to work fine. EDIT: thx for making the installer register it automatically @everyone: after installing DeathDrome meet with us at our DeathDrome discord channel to get help and get some multiplayer games going  discord.gg/rKCQHC |

I WILL UPDATE THE TUTORIAL FOR WIN 10 DATA
AND ACTUALLY I MADE THE INSTALLER RUN THE "Directplay-win64.reg" AUTOMATICALLY. YOU SHOULDNT ACTUALLY HAVE TO CLICK IT UNLESS ITS BROKEN AND IF ITS BROKEN ITLL BE FIXED IN NEXT UPDATE.
SO LET ME KNOW, I WILL TEST THE REG INSTALLATION ON A NEW INSTALL ON WIN 10 TODAY IF I CAN BTW IT SHOULD INSTALL BY ITSELF

just stumbled across this and blown away at the commitment to this awesome game but I still get the "Sorry! DeathDrome will only run on an Intel Pentium quipped PC" error and I really want to have sound so is there another cracked .exe that I can use besides the AMD with no sound one?

BTW THE NRG AVAILABLE HERE IS MADE BY ME, AND HAS BEEN UPDATED TO WORK IN 64 BIT SYSTEMS AND ADDS CERTAIN FILES WE NEED FOR BOTH REGISTRY AND MULTIPLAYER. THOSE OTHER COPIES OF THE GAME FOUND ON OTHER SITES DO NOT CONTAIN THE FILES IN MY SETUP. I STRONGLY RECCOMEND THAT YOU USE ONLY MY FILES AS I HAVE SPENT A LONG TIME MAKING SURE THIS IS THE BEST SETUP.
TRY THE LINKS AGAIN AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS, IM SURE IT WILL WORK.
I HAVE REACHED OUT TO THOSE IN THE DISCORD. APPARENTLY WHEN YOU CLICK ON THE LINK IT SAYS "UNABLE TO ACCEPT INVITE".

Thank you R.B.ST⭐R !!! You did it and it's perfect, running smooth on Intel at least. I hope the AMD players can enjoy their piece of DD nostalgia with sounds as well So I just want to thank you again for the hard work in the last couple of days on the 'all in 1 installer', the AMD fix, the no CD patch WITH SOUND and also for the past when you made the big NRG installer file for DD. I think a lot of people will be very happy with what you did for DD. Woot woot! |

Awesome work. I couldn't get the game to work myself.
I'm wondering how to move the installation to another folder? The installer didn't give the option to change the directory, copying the files and opening the game results in an error about working directory parameter, and the readme says there will be no music.

TRY RUNNING THE INSTALLER AS ADMIN, TRY RUNNING GAME AS ADMIN

We're still looking for 'DD Heat version' because we didn't manage to get a good multiplayer game going yet. If anyone can help us find it, it could help for a more stable multiplayer experience.
I also hope the permanent discord link works again...
